JOURNALISM & RESEARCH
Listening, reflecting and writing are at the core of my work. Since 2022, I have worked as a freelance journalist, with training in print, web and radio journalism. My work and travels across Sweden, Europe and beyond have shaped my perspective on people, places, languages and culture.
I am currently working on several independent writing projects on dance, wellness, travels, cultural history and the performing arts and I am interested in collaborations, research contexts and opportunities to further develop these projects.

Research
Safeguarding intangible cultural heritage is a core interest in my work. I am driven by how historical knowledge can inform present responsibility and future practice, with a focus on respect for and reuse of cultural and human resources.
Candidate thesis – minor field study in Morocco
My bachelor thesis in pedagogics was carried out in Marrakech, Morocco. By support of the Swedish social aid organization SIDA I was a major part of making a minor field study concerning the Conditions and Benefits of Dance Activities in Morocco, at the University of Stockholm.
Master thesis – opera libretto and artistic research
This master’s thesis in Contemporary Performative Arts was conducted at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. As artistic research is an ever-evolving field, the thesis followed an explorative approach. I investigated the structure of an opera libretto and sought to merge it with the frameworks of scientific research.
INDEPENDENT Writing Projects
Alongside my journalistic work, I develop independent research and writing projects, often exploring dance, cultural history, movement and the relationship between people and place.
Since 2021, I have been researching the life and work of Swedish dance artist Lalla Cassel, with support from the Carina Ari Foundation, the Swedish Arts Grants Committee, IASPIS and the Swedish Institute. The research is ongoing and forms the basis of a book project.
Other projects include research into the international history of dance, encounters with Greek dance traditions and practitioners, and a developing book about the cultural history of physical training. I also write essays and longer texts inspired by travel, movement, cultural heritage and the places I return to.
